Privacy
This Privacy Policy explains how MOSION handles personal information collected through the MOSION Studio landing page, the Studio partner application flow, and the Studio web app on studio.mosion.app. For public site privacy, see mosion.app/privacy.
What this page covers
This policy covers personal information processed through the MOSION Studio landing page, the Studio application form, and the Studio web app on studio.mosion.app. It does not cover the public MOSION consumer site — for public site privacy, see mosion.app/privacy.
Information we collect
The information collected depends on how you interact with MOSION. Some information is submitted directly by you, some is created through account use, and some technical information may be processed automatically as part of operating, securing, and improving the service.
On the public MOSION site, you may submit your email address to join the waitlist or request updates about launch access, beta access, or product announcements tied to the MOSION service.
When you apply for MOSION Studio access, you may provide your first name, last name, email address, website or portfolio URL, company, slate, or lead-title information, applicant type, rights status, release stage, territory focus, trailer or screener URL, and any submission summary or supporting context you choose to include.
When you sign in to the Studio web app, request a password reset, restore a session, or manage your profile, we may process your email address, password or password-reset inputs, authentication status, provider information, session-related account details, and profile data such as first name, last name, producer or studio name, title, phone number, website, and studio biography.
We may also process information connected to your organisation, studio, distribution relationship, or rights-holder relationship where that is needed to review access, administer partner accounts, or operate Studio workflows.
Hosting, infrastructure, and security systems may process technical information such as browser or device details, IP-related request data, timestamps, page requests, error events, and session-validation or abuse-prevention data associated with use of the site.
How we use information
- To operate, deliver, and improve the public MOSION site and the MOSION Studio experience.

- To comply with applicable legal, contractual, regulatory, and enforcement obligations.
Legal bases and equivalent grounds for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, MOSION may rely on one or more of the following depending on context: taking steps at your request before entering into a relationship, performing a contract or service relationship, complying with legal obligations, pursuing legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or consent where a specific activity is presented on that basis.
If local law gives you additional rights tied to a particular lawful basis, those rights may be available depending on your location and the nature of the processing involved.
How information may be shared
We may share personal information with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us host, secure, deliver, support, or maintain MOSION and MOSION Studio. Depending on the service involved, this may include providers supporting hosting, application delivery, authentication, email delivery, storage, monitoring, and security operations.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce agreements, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse or security incidents, or support a financing, restructuring, merger, acquisition, or asset transfer involving the service.
Retention and user control
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including waitlist operations, application review, account administration, service delivery, security, dispute management, record-keeping, and legal or compliance obligations.
- Public waitlist records may be retained for launch communications, service administration, and related operational needs.
- Studio application records may be retained for review, relationship management, support, and compliance purposes.
- Account and profile information may be retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure where needed for support, security, or legal obligations.
- Cookies and local-storage entries may remain in the browser for the periods stated in the storage section above, unless removed earlier by sign-out or browser controls.
International transfers
MOSION and the providers that support it may process information in more than one country. When information is transferred across borders, we aim to use reasonable contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards appropriate to the service and transfer involved.
Security
We use technical, administrative, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information and account access. No online service, storage environment, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should also take reasonable care with their own credentials and devices.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
- You can update some Studio profile information directly inside the Studio web app.
- You can clear browser cookies and local storage using your browser or device controls.
- You can ask us to review privacy-related questions or requests tied to your MOSION or Studio information.
- You may also have the right to complain to a relevant privacy or data protection regulator in your jurisdiction.
Children's privacy
MOSION Studio is intended for professional partner use and is not designed for children. The public MOSION site is also not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorisation. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to the service inappropriately, contact us so the situation can be reviewed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in product features, data practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. When we do, we may update the effective date on this page and publish the revised version here.
