Partner Agreement
Draft: this text is a product-accurate draft and has not been reviewed by counsel. It must be replaced with the client's reviewed wording before launch.
This Partner Agreement governs your relationship with Mosion Studio as a filmmaker or rights-holder distributing a film on Mosion. By applying for or using a Studio partner account, you agree to these terms. Read them alongside the Studio Privacy Notice.
Becoming a partner
Mosion Studio is invite-only. You apply with details about yourself and your film, and we review each application by hand. Being approved as a partner is at our discretion, and it is separate from approving any individual title - we look at each film on its own merits.
A partner account is for you or the company you are authorised to represent. Keep your details accurate and up to date.
Your film and your rights
You keep ownership of your film. You grant Mosion a licence to stream and distribute it to viewers across our platforms for as long as it is live on the service.
You confirm that you hold all the rights needed to distribute the film - including music, footage, and contributions from cast and crew - and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law. Unless you have agreed otherwise with us in writing, you are free to distribute your film elsewhere at the same time.
Releasing on Mosion
Once a title is approved, your film can be released across the web, iOS, Android and TV apps from a single upload. From your dashboard you control how it goes out:
- Set your ticket price (from ₦4,000) and the access window each viewer gets after they buy.
- Open pre-orders ahead of a premiere; tickets unlock the moment the film goes live.
- Update release settings as your run continues.
Revenue and the 60/40 split
For every ticket sold, you keep 60% and Mosion keeps 40%. Our share covers payment processing, hosting, content delivery and streaming security. There are no listing fees and nothing to pay upfront. Your revenue appears in your dashboard as sales happen.
Payouts and withdrawals
Your share builds up as tickets sell. You can request a withdrawal to your bank account at any time - there is no minimum and no waiting for month-end. Payouts are processed through our payment partner. You are responsible for the accuracy of your bank details and for any taxes due on your earnings.
How we protect your film
Every stream is protected with Widevine and FairPlay DRM and a session-level forensic watermark, and offline downloads stay encrypted inside the app. You agree that we apply these protections to your title - they exist to guard your work against piracy.
Keeping your account secure
Partner accounts are secured with two-factor authentication. Keep your credentials safe and do not share them; you are responsible for activity that happens on your account.
Content standards
Your film must be a finished work that you have the rights to distribute, and it must not contain unlawful content. We may decline, delay, or remove a title that breaches these terms or the law, and we will tell you why where we can.
Ending the arrangement
Either of us can end the partnership. If you withdraw a title, it stops being sold from that point on; viewers who already bought a ticket keep access for the remainder of their window. Any revenue you have already earned remains payable to you.
Warranties and liability
You are responsible for the rights to, and the content of, your film, and you agree to cover us against claims that arise from it. Mosion is provided on an "as is" basis during early access; to the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Mosion is operated by our registered company (RC No. 9433196). Questions? Email [email protected].
